Better for gaming... Widescreen or Standard

Please specify why to....

Thanks....

I only really play GW and CS and CS:S and some others once in a blue moon!

Widescreen by far, at least to me. It takes more of a hit on frames, but worth it to me. If a game is true WS, not just streached FOV, you get more of the game.

Some HL2 pics. It would be the same for you and CS:S. I dont know what GW is. They are 1680x1050, and 1600x1200.

Heads up on your URLs, none of them work. :(

They links work if you click the link, and then copy and paste the correct link out of the address text bar. For some reason the link shows up twice in the URL string.

EDIT: Oh yeah, widescreen is better :D

well as long as most of the games u play have a widescreen option, go with it.

I play WOW on my DELL 2005FPW. I get to see more of the environment, and have more space on screen for icons than my friends who have standard.

Links fixed. For some reason when I copied them from another post, it added another url of the same thing.

Widescreen gaming is better for all the reasons why watching a widescreen movies is better.

Simply said, you just see more. And now that Dell is making them so affordable (and high quality) there just isn't a reason to go 4:3 anymore. It's just like buying a reg TV when you could be watching it in widescreen high def 16x9.

love my 2405fpw... just got it and this thing is insane..

I recommend going widescreen.
