I'm looking to buying a 9800 Pro tomorrow on newegg. I was wondering what is the better company to buy from.? I might overclock the card but not sure. Also how good is the svideo out on this cards?

Card choices

1. Ati retail
2. Sapphire
3. Powercolor

I'll be looking at the 128 meg kind.

Dont get powercolor, i've heard horrible things. and some good things too.

BBA are awsome nice box sweet warrenty but for like 100$ more

Save the 100$ get a 1 year warrenty from sapphire and get the sapphire 9800Pro 128 OEM, its like 207 at newegg. comes with everything except a box.

Get the cheapest one, I've owned BBA & Powercolor and I didn't notice any differance.

Normalyl I buy sapphire. Ati normally has better warranties, but sapphire tends to be the better value. Sapphire makes ATi's cards.

Powercolor seems to be getting better, but they have a checked history with clockrates. Lower clocked 9700pro cards with odd names etc.

my powercolor 9800SE was clocked as a pro right out of the box, is 256 bit like a pro right out of the box, has the exact same PCB as their pros, just different heatsink. Hmm, think maybe its a pro? Softmod confirms it is, will be flashing BIOS soon :D
