I'm awaiting a shipment of Scythe GT AR15's. Their default speed (1850rpm) is faster than any fan currently spinning in my system. As quiet as people say they are I'm pretty sure I'll be needing to adjust them to my personal acceptable noise/performance levels. I've been looking around the case mod and OC threads and I've done a fir amount of reading but there seems to be little "consensus" on fan controllers. Figured I'd ask here to see if I could get people's first hand experience recommendations. I'm not looking for case "bling" or wanting to spend $100 for bells and whistles I'll never use. Something in the $50 and under range would be nice. Just want a controller that works well and at a minimum this is what I'd like for it to do:

1) Able to control at least 6 pwm fans.
2) RPM range from full stop to max with decent increment control.
3) Actual RPM shown would be nice but not absolutely necessary as long as the visual increment markers are fairly accurate.
4) Single drive bay would be preferred but not a must. I'd like to keep one bay for my cup holder and cigar lighter. :p

Thanks in advance

The Sunbeam Rheosmart controls up to 6 fans on the PWM header of the mobo or you can control them manually.

It got great reviews and is nicely priced. You might have to use 4 pin to 3 pin adapters though to make it work with this controller since the headers on the fan controller are only 3 pin.

I just ordered the 3 fan version so I'm curious to try it out, my fans are loud.

I was looking at that one as well as this one:

Scythe Kaze Master Pro 5.25 Fan Controller

Lemme know how the Sunbeam works out for ya.

Sunbeam has always made the best imo. Very robust and they last forever.

I can vouch for the Sunbeam Rheosmart. I got one a couple months ago to go with my 500r and it works great. You don't need any adapters for PWM fans as they can just plug right into the 3 pin headers. There is a button under each knob that you push to turn on PWM control if you want to use it. I throttle some cheapo Slipstream fans to make them tolerable.

Nice. So the Rheosmart control across all the fans is good and consistent?

Yea, very clean and simple. I also have an h100 that I move between low and high settings. I adjust the fans attached to the controller accordignly. Works great.
