What's the absolut best defrag util out there? i've been using the windows one till now but i dont know if i like it so much, it doesnt seem to move data about efficiently enough. Seems like there's still too much space between data(in the analysis window representation that it shows you).

So what's the best defrag util out there? Freebies prefered but not necessarily required.:)

thanks

Not sure about freebies, but I use Diskeeper and like it a lot. Windows 2000/XP use a cut down version of it but the full one is worth the extra price. It has way more options to defrag the swap file, MFT table, move folders and more commonly accessed files closer to the begining, and can do a boot time defrag which is great because Windows/drivers/services/background apps aren't running when it does the defrag so that it can move more files around which cant be moved when they are already loaded up.
