Hello all.

I wasn't sure where to put this, but it concerns video so posted here.

Anyway, what is the best codecs or codec pack for viewing avi movies in Windows Media Player 9?

I just did a hardware upgrade and reinstalled XP, and now most of my avi clips don't work.

AVI can be encoded in anything from Microsoft DV to DivX to Techsmith and so on. You just gotta have the right codec for the right file. I'd suggest getting the K-Lite codec pack if you want to cover the most bases all at once.

You could always just use videolan and have all the codecs you need built right in.

K-Lite codec pack did it, everything seems to work now.

Thanks for the very quick responses from all of you.
