I currently have the Plantronics DSP-500, but i dont like the bass response.
I am big into sound especially in games like BF2.

What would be a better headset? Sennheiser?

(I know plain old headphones go as high-end as you can imagine, but i am really only interested in headsets only (and usb only, dont feal like crawling under to change out when i want to use headphones)

FYI, a USB headset won't use your soundcard. You might want to consider that if you have a good soundcard.
 
USB Headsets slow down your game performance by about 10-15%. Not to mention your choices are extremely limited. Get an audio splitter (they are under $20) and you can switch between your headphones and speakers. Or get a decent set of speakers, most have a headphone-out jack on them these days.

Assuming i go the route of an audio splitter, what headset would be best?
I have a good set of speakers (Klipsch ProMedia) with a headphone jack, but i need to use the headset for a Voip headset, not just sound.
