I have an Abit IC-7 that i can't surrender. Too many friggin' hours 'invested'
in games like FEAR and especially UT2004.

Its nearing its 4th birthday and i need to give it a sweet present !

I've upgraded its PSU (to a Foxton 350) and the graphics card (800GTO).

Now its the CPU's turn. After four years the 2.4C is still a good soldier and
I'll have it around for back-up.

What are my best upgrade options from there ? Thanks.
 
Have you considered overclocking? 2.4c's have been known to get to 3+ GHz without much fuss. That's what I'd do anyway, I wouldn't be too thrilled at the idea of spending $120 for a single core chip.
