I need to select soon a TFT 19" or 20" for a netcafe..20 comps with 20 TFT Displays.. can u guys help me to select best option for gaming? My best options atm are:
Dell 2001FP in 20" Range and Samsung 913N / BenQ FP937s+ in 19" Range..

There is any BEST option for gaming? there are lot of models that sound good but i wanna do the best choice :/

All help is welcome and thanx for yer time :p

Greetings

My experience with Net cafes is as a rule they use the lowest common denominator of computer that will get the job done.

I wouldn’t use that level of monitor unless it was totally protected (behind glass). In fact any TFT I would use would have to be protected in some way.

Just some thoughts

Thanx for yer ideas but where i live (spain) and in special my city things work in other way..u need to offer some quality service to gamers or u are out ^^U

Someone can tell me then wich the best option? ;)

In my opinion dell is O U T , out now its between the Samsung and the benq i would go for the Samsung 913N just an opinion

Why would you rule out the dell?

Just a question as their was no explanation for your reasoning. Sounds like you have not used one, or have only used the lower end units.

Good options are the Samsung 193P, Dell 1905FP, Viewsonic VP912B, Viewsonic VP201s or b, BenQ 2091/Alienware 20 (if you can find it)

Or you could wait for the shuttle and new BenQ panels to come out in the next month.

If you go with the Dell (or any 20" for that matter) keep in mind you will also need 20 computers that can run games at 1600x1200. You might be better off sticking with a 1280x1024 display.

Ok guys i think ill go with 19" TFT then..they look more ready for gaming tho

I dont like the viewsonic vp912b cos SonyXblack type of coating..and the samsung 193P is way older than new brand 913N..

Apart from new modelo (plus one) from Benq and Samsung 913N there is any better option?

Thx guys

Check out the VX912 from Viewsonic.. From what I've heard, it's a good screen without the reflective coating.

Thanx but from some reviews i readed its 12ms but doesnt work like one..sluggish and all :(

I get the 710T

But if its a Gaming cafe, who the hell would pay to play on a LCD. I know i wouldent. I live in NYC and the biggest and most succesful lan center is called Web2zone. They have 19" samsung crts. I think a crt would be a better option.

If you want people to come to play games then LCDs are out, i see netcafes in manhattan with better systems and lcds and they are deserted. But web2zone is always full and hosts many tornemenets.

If your customers have no intention on playing games, id go for the samsung 193p Silver.

Now if you wnat a sucesful netcafe, you cant sue the lowest common denomenator. Everthing must be the best and needs to be upgraded all the time.

It does depend on hos succesful you want to be

I dont have space to set 20 comps with CRT´s and i dont think TFTS are that bad atm to ignore em.. i gonna offer best comps but with TFTS and i want the best option in 19" range, with 16/12/8 ms ghost effect is almost invisible so dont tell me TFTS= empty netcafe -.-

Greetings

Deffinetly agree with comment reguarding CRTS. Not to be a pain in the ass and not answer your question, but people who want a top of the line gaming experience will be happy/happier with CRTs. I would deffinetly rethink design/number of computers so that you could incorporate them instead of LCDs.

Im not actually anti-LCD either, I use a 17'' Compaq for my main rig, but at this time I don't do *any* gaming, when I get back into it I will haul my viewsonic out of storage.

Ive tried tried the 710T and its 12ms and it ghosts alot. Thats why it was returned.

It doesnt matter if its a 2ms it will ghost, Its the technology

and almost is not None or not there.

to me slight ghosting is just as bad as a monitor with a 100ms response time. It bother me and the majority of gamers that much. that is why people dont buy them. I am yet to see a succesful netcafe with LCd's fpr gamers.

2 largest and most succesful

Web2zone and Lanferno

Well i apreciate your comments but i still cant set comps with crt displays.. can someone kind enough tell me wich is the best option in LCD/TFT 19" range for gamers?

Greetings guys

blah blah blah blah blah :) yea your right, i've only used the Dell 2001FP only said rule out dell because of all the problems people are having but then again, that could happen to just about any LCD monitor huh well except the ACD20''

unearth01 isnt 915n the same than 913n? 913n looks great for me tho :D

You cant have a dell monior becouse its a place of business where people think they are having the best

Dell does not equal best. dell is know as a first time computer company who doesnt make good gaming rigs. The first thing i think about if i walked into his netcafe and saw any dell moniotr and product is that it is garbadge and i wantt my money back

You people on this forum think thet 2001fp is a good moniotr, i think otherwise. I ahve no idea what you think is good about it, It ghosts has horrible interpolation and is just flat out ugly.

So ys dells are ruled out

As for the Samsung 915N, it is a new monitor with a 8ms response time and the 913V has a 25ms response time,

If you wnat the overall best get the samsung 193P. Its PVA with 20ms . so it has pretty much the best quality.

But for a Netcafe i think 17" LCD would be more than enogh. remember LCDs are really 17"

But I would still go with CRt's

But if you get LCds make sure you have enogh power to run there resolutions

take a look at http://www.newegg.com/app/viewProductDesc.asp?description=24-116-347&depa=0

As I have some extra exp in that, having deployed ~2K PCs in 11 lan centers all over Greece, i would suggest LG 19" F900B Flatron. These babies are normal performance, normal price, normal power consumption, but they just don't die even after they are months on. And u'll see that this is extremely important for a netcafe ;)

If u do go for a TFT tho, i would suggest the 8ms BenQ, but go for a TFT only if u got a REALLY BAD space problem.

Uneaeth Samsung 713N is the europe name of 715n

I thought about LG1915S but just about cero info cero reviews about it :/

I think ill go for samsung 713n/715n over the benq FP937s+.

Greetings
