well i just finished building my gf a nice little shuttle system for her new apartment. anyways she has a sweet 20" viewsonic lcd going with it and i thought i would christen her new place with a nice 2.1 setup. it's for a small room with limited space so bigger setups and home a/v setups are out of the question, plus i don't want to go overboard with this gift. i'm stuck in between the altec mx5021's, the logitech 2300s, the pm 2.1's. i'm looking for the best overall sound out of these for listening to music and watching movies.

another vote for the klipsch... i have the same ones (although i have been happier with other speaker purchases, but they weren't for my pc...
)... caveat: i don't often use mine for movies/music... but when i've streamed music, they are more than adequate... my wife probably uses them more when she's mucking around making cd's...
patience might yield a used set for less than 100 if you keep your nose to the ground... i got mine for around that... they also go on sale occasionally...
