so is there a really good website or even retail store to buy displays from. i hate searching tons of sites for the best deal on monitors. anyone got a very good site that many people use and trust. thanks
 
Websites: Dell, Monitors Direct, and Newegg.
Retail Stores: Micro Center. There aren't very many Micro Centers around, but they do stock the Mitsubishi 2070 22 incher (same as NEC 2141). If you want to check out what the 22inch CRT looks like in person before buying, go there! I wouldn't buy it from them, though (overcharge).
 
MonitorsDirect has never done me wrong, so I always go there, even if I can save a few bucks elsewhere. Customer service is worth a few extra bucks IMO.
 
Best deal I have found for the 22" Mitsubishis or NECs is to subscribe to the Dell emails and wait until they send a 10-20% off coupon. If you're lucky they may also be running a free shipping deal that week. http://www.techonweb.com has agood price on them as well.
 
yeah, generally you can't beat them on that...if you like viewsonic monitors at all, keep in touch. i get floor day deals and various other rebates for their products all the time... :)

I may just stick with my new 19" Mitsubishi DP930SB for a while. I just thought i would go ahead and go for the 22" model but since i already have this thing its going to cost me an arm and a leg to get a refund at Newegg. At least $30 to ship it back USPS and then a 15% restocking fee since it isn't damaged.
