I'm just curious as to what are the best solid state drives on the market today for around ~$200

storage any were from 30 gig to 64 gig. I realize than any bigger than 64 and you will almost certainly go over $200.

But my main question is what kind of performance can you get with $200 at 32 and 64 gig

Thanks a lot.

The OCZ Agility is a good value as well. The 60GB can be had for less than $200 if you shop around. The 120GB will run you more like $260 (after rebates and deals.)

Vertex yes, but depends on what kind of use the HDD will see.

Not a helpful observation unless you are going to take the time to explain what usages the Vertex is good/bad at, and what alternatives are suited for particular uses.

Out of the agility and the vertex OCZ drives, when one would run better on a windows 7 lt3103 by gateway?
And by run better i mean load up apps faster and or games/ documents?

I have an agility drive in my laptop, another in my desktop#2 and a RAID0 array of Vertex drives in my desktop#1. The only difference I see "realworld" between the vertex array and the single agility drives is when loading games and professional apps such as photoshop.

The laptop is my most recent purchase and I chose the agility drive.

I ordered them twice and and both my orders went back ordered. Every time I see them in stock it seems like they want $20 more than the last time I ordered... I think its best to wait another month or so and see if they become more available.

I'm really bummed but I guess I can go without using my laptop for a couple months until I am able to pick one up for under $250.
