Anyone have any idea what the best socket a processor for overclocking in an nforce2 mobo is? I want to hit a high fsb and have an unlockable multiplier. Please let me know as much detail as possible down to the core revision if possible. Thanks
 
Basically you'll be looking at some older Athlon XP's or a mobile 2500 if you can find one still. And Athlon XP's before week 39 of year 2004 are unlocked (someone correct me if I'm wrong, it's been a "long" time) since I even owned an XP. The mobiles should be unlocked from the factory, no matter what year/week you find. If memory serves me right, most IQYHA stepping 2500 mobiles, hit some serious overclocks in the 2500-2700mhz range. For a normal XP, try finding a 1700+ JIUHB stepping. Most of them were good for 2400 or so mhz.
