I currently have an Aerocool Phantom CPU cooler Linky , while nice and all copper, my 2500+ system runs at Idle 52c :S. I wanted to get a ThermalRight SP-97 but i noticed it would require a lot of faffing to fit it into my case since it dosnt use socket A clips.

What i want is a good copper heatsink with socket A clips that will support at least an 80mm fan. So far ive found:

Thermalright SLK-700 (70mm fan max)
Zalman Flower CNPS6000-Cu (Looks a bit fragile)
Aerocool Deep Impact 102 (Looks sweet)

Any exeperiance, recomendations or warnings about these heatsinks?

Cheers, Luther.

I've read a few reviews on the Aerocool HT-101 cooler and it uses the clips for AMD CPU's (and it uses the plate for Pentium CPU's). I believe that is their flagship cooler, performs VERY well.

*update - link to a German review, from what I see in the review, it matches the performance of an SP-97 but with A LOT less noise.

:eek:470g ???

I thought 300g was the Socket A maxium wight limit?

But it does look nice, not sure if its on sale in good old blighty though.

Ok i really want the HT-101 now but i cant even find a canadian site to import it from. Does anywhere sell this thing to the uk?

might wanna try a Swiftech MCX-462-V, it uses clips, doesn't even have mounting holes, and it dissipates a lot of heat.

That HT-101 looks quite nice. Anyone here have experience with it?

Oh, and it's too bad that only TigerDirect has it... if you're willing to wait, I'm sure Vibe Computers, NCIX or Bigfoot Computers would bring it in for you. I doubt it'd be that cheap, though.

Although there's no rebate with that h/s, so I guess you could buy it from TD and not get screwed ;)

I just bought the HT-101 from tigerdirect.ca, I'm sure if I threw in a tornado or equipped it with 2 fans, it would outperform a SP97.

Keep in mind, the HT-101 comes with 1 fan already.
