asus a8n-sli premium

yes, that heat pipe is pretty neat, but will it be very good for oc'ing? probably not right? the msi plat sli is pretty nice too, which is what i have. i like it fine. the asus seems like it has better features overall though.

what about the abit sli series. all of those seem to be pretty nice...but you have to pay a premium. i have heard that they're all very stable boards during oc'ing though.

I have one. It kicks ass, the chipset stays like 3 degrees cooler than my friend's with the deluxe (fan). There's also significant room between the x16 slots for SLi. Oh oh and it looks dead sexy. My favourite board purchased to date. Check my sig, similar components too.

is yoru computer quick as hell because im gonna be running something similar to you.

Im thinking of getting this board to, will I get better performance than the one in my sig?

I just go 1 and unfortunately I cannot get the silicon controller to work

I don't want to use any raid functions and all my drives have been formatted previously. They all have used space.

I am using 4 sata drives under the nvidia controller and they all are recognized by windows.

I also have 3 more drives plugged under the silicon image 3114 controller, but these do not get installed or detected. I have tried all drivers, raid, IDE (the ide driver is not accepted, intallation fails), beta, but no luck.
What's even more strange, is that I also have a SATA cd rom plugged to the silicon controller, and it actually is detected.

I have tried the asus technical support, but they are no help. I have been told to format and press F6 to install drivers for both controllers, (DONE THAT) and to format without drivers since I am not using RAID (done that)

Can somebody please help!
TIA
