What is the best socket 754 board, with respect for at least a bit of overclocking (2800+ OC). Also would I have to chose any memory specifically? I know that some socket 754 boards were a bit picky when it came to memory they used.

Thanks.

Search the forum man! There are already more than 5 detailed threads out there on this exact subject. I still recommend the Chaintech VNF3-250, can't be beat for the price!

MSI motherboards are firehazards. lol

Yet every single reviews of that mobo are all in its favor, and it even earned AnandTech's editor choice.

i love my neo plat. i realy like the mem placement and the placement of the cpu(improves airflow and w/ my big assed 7000-alcu my window fan blows right onto it :)). good performer, good utill's. good everything(also, the dimm's seem to be uv reactive. their a blue'ish color w/ no uv fans, but when i turn on my 6 led fans(which give off a fain uv, as my uv drive rails glow when their on) they are a green color. it realy kicks ass :)

Unless the reviewer went as "Joe Sixpack" to pick up such mobo at a retail shop (and they usually mention it in the review) a lot of companies cherry-pick mobos to send to reviewers, it's part of marketing.

So always take reviews with a grain of salt.

I don't think it was, iirc they needed many boards to get one working right.
