best single slot card?

is a 9800gt the best single slot card out there these days? or is there anything new due out soon that is better? ive seen an ati 4850 or something like that but the fan sticks out, ive got a shuttle xpc so i need something lower profile.

With the 8800/9800GT you can actually passive cool it inside the Shuttle which is a pretty awesome accomplishment by some guys on Sudhian.

I think maybe the Radeon 4850 is the only thing that would be worth it also. I am CPU bottlenecked so a 4850 wouldn't be an upgrade for me over the 8800GT.

Reference 4850 is single slot. Definitely not low profile, though.

The OP doesn't mean low profile in the actual sense (the card being halfsize wide, etc.). He just needs the fan/heatsink not to exceed the normal single slot dimensions because in a Shuttle, the videocard is literally 1/4th inch away from the side of the case when closed up.
