Can anyone recomend the best silent water pump? I'll looking at a MCW350 for silence its got low pressure out put. What is the next one recomended for silence? MCW600? Thanks

If you're wiling to do a simple modding of the pump's impeller and still get great GPH rate, you can go with an Aqua Via 1300. I got mine last year in September and I performed the mod rigth away.

It's very quiet and pumps water through my dual 120mm fan setup quickly.

The 1048 is very quiet, but so is the Swifty mcp350. The Swifty would be the pump to go for.

The Aqua pump is a rev. 2 Swifty 600. A truly excellent pump but I don't know how noisy it is.

I already considered that but I've heard that after sometime the impeller breaks so I removed it from my list.

my bad, the 650 is the whiner. don't know about the 600. my danner pump is also very nearly silent.

thats where my money is going :)

The Innovatek or Aqua Computer 12v pumps are quiet and supposedly as powerful as the 1048.

Here is the link to the site that has the impeller mod tutorial for the Via Aqua 1300:

http://www.wc101.com/guides/ViaAqua/

The only "problem" I ran into was about 4 months after I performed the mod. The glue I used melted and the impeller began to make noises again. So, I took it apart again and this time, I used a stronger adhesive (one of those RV plastic adhesives). Ever since, the glue doesn't disintegrate anymore.

If you do go for the Via Aqua 1300, though, you should perform the mod because for my unit, it was very noisy without the mod.

Here is where I purchased my pump from:

http://www.dtekcustoms.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWPROD&ProdID=33

And I bought my dual 120mm heater core from Danger Den:

http://www.dangerdenstore.com/product.php?productid=48&cat=14&page=1

They give you the heatercore with pre-modded barbs, a fan shroud that will fit 2 120mm fans, 2 Sunon 120mm fans with 90CFM, and all the screws and washers necessary for teh installation. It's very easy to put together--it took me only about 15 minutes!

Thanks for the tip. I'll be using the Via then. What relay should I use for this pump? Any suggestions?
