I am about to upgrade my machine and I want to be able to run it with little to no noise if possible. I will not be overclocking the machine, whats is the best silent cpu cooler for what I want to do. I know about the tuniq 120 which would be pointless for me since I dont care about overclocking. Anyone have any suggestions?

Even if you don't OC, it's still dead silent. (Tuniq, that is)

Thermaltake Big Typhoon, stock fan is very quiet, your hard drive is louder.

scythe ninja w/o a fan maybe. it may not provide the best cooling and temps will still be quite high, even at stock speeds, but it is 0dB ie absolutely silent
if u want to go cheaper however, maybe get an af7pro

Get a Tuniq and then control the fan with a fan controller. It's the quietest way to do it and it still cools awesome.
