I have a p233MMX/32mb/4gb machine running 98SE that i use for FTP/WEB/CGIProxy/File/streaming mp3 server. I have it set up in a closet so i dont have to look at it so i admin via VNC. This server is primarily for personal use so it doesnt see much traffic. Anyway, needless to say the performance is tolerable, but I would like to install a more efficient OS on this thing and hopefully give it a new life. What are my best options as far as an easy to setup/use/maintain free linux distro. I would like to run Apache since in am mildly familir with it. But as far as the other purposes, I have no clue how to set these up on a *nix machine. Any info on setting this up would be extremely helpful. Or do you think that I am better off sticking with what I have?
