Ok guys. We definitely have alot of dremel fan boys up in here. I see that dremel added another cutting toy we all wanna play with. The Dremel #1800 Dremel Scroll Station http://dremel.com/HTML/home_fr.html . An we also have many alternatives from lets say Sears and what not.
Could someone please tell me what to get . Please include some helpful feedback as it might help out others who are in search of another useful tool. Thx

P.S. Cheapest I found was 179.99
while @ homedepot. It would have been 240+ taxes. lol

I`ve had that dremel 1800 for over a year now. It was a christmas present from the year before. I FREAKING LOVE IT. If you havent seen my project log, go over and check it out to see the things I made with it.
Project: miniG5ized

For example all this inside was made with it and that side sander. That side sander is what makes for very clean cuts and straight edges.

Btw in oder for those sears one to be comparable you would need to buy a seperate sanding disc. Which to me justifies the price for the dremel 1800. To me I couldnt live without the other one. Bot the disc sander and scroll saw are equally important for modding.

My parents bought me one of these for Christmas. Saves space, and allows me to do nearly EVRYTHING. I have a table saw, router, scroll saw, sander, and drill press all in one bench. It also has dust collection via a shop-vac. Fantastic unit. I build speaker cabinets and car parts on a regular basis, along with my computers and other assorted projects. This was a great gift to me.
