Best Screen Protector for iPhone4?

I recently picked up an Otter Commuter case and a front/back iShieldz kit. The back iShield went on great but the front was a gong show. I had to choose between lining up the home button OR the ear piece speaker/camera. I chose the button. The result was not ideal; my shammy catches every time I wipe the screen and threatens to peel the shield back. SO, I'm looking for a new screen protector. Any suggestions? Is there a brand that stands out?

Two protectors for $15? He'll, that's a downright bargain compared to iShieldz. Thanks for the suggestion.

Seems that most prefer the ZAGG Invisible, despite the orange peel effect.

I've been using invisible shield with no complaints for a long time....though they are a bit pricey and take a bit getting used to.

Thanks all. I actually ended up ordering a set of Power Support Crystal protectors from Amazon Canada, $15 for two front shields. Free shipping. If these bomb, I give up. After that it's either cheap on eBay or naked.

These are the way to go, bought a set and I love them.

Well that is the best. Go yo best buy pay 10 bucks to have them put it on that way if they f your phone they pay for it. Also invisible shield can sometimes come of or lift and if you have them install you take it back and they put on a new one no charge

I picked up a generic Gear4-branded clear protector, pretty much the same thing you can get from many ebay stores (the one with two peel-off sides) for many phones.

I use a similar one I got for the N900 and that works great, so does the iPhone 4 version.Cosmetically they're not as perfect as e.g. invisibleshield since there's always a bit of curl-up at the edges, but tracking feel is so much more like the original screen than Invisibleshield (which IMO completely screws up touch feel, but is great wherever you DONT need to touch-to-operate).

I really don't see how you can tolerate screen protectors on your phones... Every iPhone I've used with one on it really drives me crazy, there's definitely a big loss in sensitivity. Plus, I was in the Apple store the other day, and this dude asked the Specialist just how strong the glass was on the iPhone 4's display. He had brought in a defective phone, and she demonstrated on it by hitting it as hard as she could with her car keys (they had already swapped it for a new one). There was no noticeable damage at all! I was pretty impressed.

I still wouldn't recommend stabbing your phone with car keys.

Once may be fine. Try daily use, or droppng it just once.

I really like the feel of the Power Support Anti-Glare covers on my 3G's. It does have a bit of a prism effect on the screen though. The 4 version was supposed to be tweaked for the Retina display, but I wanted to wait a bit and see what others were saying about it before buying yet another iPhone case/cover. Hmmm, looks like the Apple store has them now, so I may have to go pick one up. http://store.apple.com/us/product/H2330LL/A

FYI, the back glass is not the same Gorilla Glass that they use on the front. Several people in the office had scratches on the back within days of getting them. I'm included in that group. I did put it in my pocket with some change, but I'm generally quite careful with it. It was quite surprised at the scratch it ended up with. Luckily the whole thing died after a month so I got a replacement, and had covers by then.

Used on for a couple years...now don't use them, and I'm much happier w/ the screen. You just have to be a little more careful.

When I had my iPhone 3G, I bought some no-name brand matte finish protectors from the Apple store as a 'temporary' protector until I could get some better ones.

Surprisingly, those were some damn nice protectors, and I didn't have to replace them for about a year or so. Don't remember the brand, but I'll see if I still have the receipt somewhere and reply back.

Any-who, just goes to show that you don't have to spend $30 for a good screen protector. ;)
