No comparisons to ATi, just loads of good info on everything you'd want to know, especially a lot on PS performance, which was the only thing ATi led before pretty much. ( so a big failure of FX ).

I've read about 19 reviews so far and this one is definitely the best.

plus they are the only ones to point out that there is no 6x/ 8x RGMS which hopefully may be added in drivers.

techtv did teir own review, but only with farcry, it shoed the 6800 getting 30+ fps over the 9800Xt and put it on the air ... their test showed the same as anand's... but the [h] review and the beyond3d review show not as big of a performance increase

B3D used a 3.0GHz P4 IIRC, Anand and Tom used more power. NV40 is clearly CPU limited, even with a 3.0! Guess it's time to upgrade my lowly Northwood 3.2.

both [H] and B3d used 3ghz "C" chips, both found themselves cpu bound, both got smaller performance deltas, hmm, do I see a pattern here?

I think some reviewers used default, and some with forced trilinear. ATi uses trilinear, they do not have a hybrid Bri or optimized trilinear (although I'm sure they could add one). It can make a very hefty difference in FPS scores.

8% or so isn't that big a difference when there are 30-50% differences between the 6800 Ultra and the next lower card.
