Best radbox setup?

I have a radbox, and the swiftech dual-120 rad. Standard recommended install from swiftech is:

Rad <- Fans <- Radbox <- PC

Thus blowing air through the radiator. Well, it would seem to be common belief that sucking is better than blowing (i for one would vote for that to be law.. but nevermind).

It would seem that that particular arrangement doesn't account for the fan void either as there is no real gap between fan and rad.

So I was thinking:

Fans <- Rad <- Radbox <- PC

to solve the "suck" arrangement.

And then perhaps put a shroud between the fans and rad to correct for the void. Although is void still an issue with suck versus blow? I would assume it would be.

One could mount the rad directly to the PC in this setup, and perhaps put the radbox between the fans and the radiator, but, atleast the case of my aurora 3d (which does have dual 120mm spots on rear), directly mounting the rad to the case would not be very flush.

Could also mount the radiator internally, but would have to put the connectors on bottom as the power supply gets in the way, and then it would no longer be self-purging. Plus doesn't seem right to have the heater core inside your case.. I'm tempted to mount it to the side of my desk in fact.

i took the fans that came with my rad in my swiftech kit and put them at the top of the rad in a push/pull arrangement and put another fan on the bottom in pull. dropped temps by 1c.

Interesting.. I wonder if there is still technically a void in the center of your fans though since there is no standoff.

I wonder if having fans on both sides helps, or if it's the pull arrangement.

I guess temp diffs are going to be negligible and thus I should really just go with the cleanest arrangement.

I bought two scythe 1600rpm fans which are supposed to be dead quiet and yet move alot of air. For $16/apiece they'd better be. I have two older sunons which move hella air but are loud. I pursued WC for quiet =) Shoulda bought a third, put two on the rad and one in the front.

I have an antec slot blower too, since it seems like my video card effectively cuts my case in half and nothing is dealing with the air down below, especially in the absence of my x1900's HSF.
