I have a ton of images, around 15k and I want to delete the duplicates. I know there has to be something out there for finding and deleting duplicate photos that's free. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Edit: Grammar.

hmmmm, and what, exactly, are these 15,000 images of

I've used Clonespy to great success.

I just tried out Clonespy and it was way, way slower than a commercial program called Duplicate File Detective. It took DFD 36 min total to ID all the 5000+ duplicates on my "media" drive, mainly photos. After 2 hours, clonespy ID'd only one zip file as being duplicate. I stopped it, becauase I needed to reboot my system for some unrelated reason.

Was I doing something wrong?

The most complete duplicate finder and deleter I have found is "Duplicate Files Deleter".

You can download it from here: **LINK-REMOVED**

I have found that, not only is it one of the fastest duplicate finders/deleters, but also is by far the most accurate one because of the way it's search engine uses MD5 info.

Don't click this link unless you really want the Data Recovery virus/scareware.
