best processor with no overclocking?

I rather have a stable long lasting machine, so I'm looking for the processors that perform the best right out of the box and dont need OCing :)
 
Why would a properly Oced processor not be stable or long lasting?
Whats your price range btw?
 
Arguably any processor can be "fast enough" depending on what you do with it ...

Like asked above, what's your price range?
 
I just bought a P4 630 3.0 Ghz, and it is rather quick. Good price too at $230 ish at the egg. If you can go higher on the processor... by all means get the fastest 630 they have.Can't go wrong with 2meg of cache, 64 bit extentions, and Hyperthreading.
