I am about to install a 2nd NVIDIA 680 FTW 4gb card into my system. I was wondering what the best procedure is for when going single to SLI.

Is it as simple as powering off/unplugging, installing the 2nd card, attaching the SLI bridge, then powering back on and adjusting any settings in NVIDIA control manager? Or is it necessary to remove/reinstall drivers, and/or make any adjustments in any Windows settings?

Also, I just installed the prior NVIDIA graphics drivers and installed the latest ones (in single card mode). Just wondering if I should reinstall these latest drivers AFTER not before I have added the 2nd card.

Uninstall drivers
Shutdown
Install 2nd card and bridge
Bootup and re-install new drivers
Reboot
Enable SLI
 
Also, if you have a long SLI bridge and the room/board support for it, it's best not to place the two cards side by side for airflow. Try to skip a PCI-e slot if you can.
 
You wont need to uninstall drivers. It will just detect new card then enable sli after its done

Seriously. Removing drivers for what? They're there to detect and configure the card. You're not getting new drivers with the 2nd card, you're using the very same drivers. They detect a new card/cards and then ask you if you want to enable SLI/Crossfire/Whatever. Either you click enable or don't. Lol. You can update your drivers, if you were behind, before or after your operation. I know some of you have your favorite drivers and others just get the latest as it exits the door into the world.
 
You don't have to remove the drivers AT ALL. As others have said, just install the second card, install the SLI bridge, then go into you Nvidia control panel and set it to SLI....
