Best possible build for 1200 $ budget?

Hola. I'm going to be playing games like Meideval 2 Total War, Supreme Commander, HL2, QWET, Crysis, ect. basically most FPS and RTS games. I go on the internet a lot and usually have 4 windows open.
I'm thinking
Intel Core 2 Duo CPU- I don't know which one to go with
WD 320 GB HD- I know I'm going to go with this one unless theres a better option, have yet to find one
I don't know what PSU to go with
Nor do I know what mobo
And I don't know what GPU
And same with the case
As you can see a need bit of help (thats the nicest way to say it ), so if you could help me out and list some components that'd be great. Thanks for taking the time out of your day to read this and I hope you have a good day

You wouldn't need the 4gb ram that I'm getting, but the rest of the parts should be a good starting point for you.
