need an 80mm and a 120mm to replace my mediocre stock fans. what would you people recommend? i need something super duper quiet and yet gives pushes lots of air.

thanks

i'm also looking for loud and powerful fans that are silent with the 5v or 7v mod

Best noise/airflow fans are generally the gentle typhoons, although those large 38mm fans also undervolt fairly well. The key thing is the bearing: ball-bearings are the noisiest, followed by sleeve, then the other bearings I do not know enough about to categorize them from noisiest to least noisiest, but they're all generally better than sleeve and ball-bearings. Otherwise, fans in the same RPM range generally sound the same, since most of the noise is air movement and not the fan itself (unless the bearings are noisy).

The N12s I think are good too? Or the P12s if you need higher pressure? I've got two P12s on my TRUE and I don't hear them...

Get the noctua 140mm's for your 120mm spot. the 140mm noctua fan has a circular housing so you can mount it in a 120mm spot. It also comes with resistors so you can lower the RPMs to make them quieter. I use nothing but noctua and they are quiet. on the pricey side but worth it in my case
