My friend has a dell 2350 which does NOT have an AGP slot, so im basicly wondering what the best pci videocard is for:

Everquest
Diablo 2
Counterstrike

Nothing recent... he's going to upgrade to a new system when it comes time for college... money is not an issue, though i dont think it ever was with PCI vidcards.

None of those 3 are demanding. He can probably get away with a PCI Radeon 7000/7200 or a PCI GF4 MX440-SE/MX400, each is around $40 on pricewatch.

If he has a little more to spend, around $60 can get him a Radeon 9100 64MB PCI (pricewatch) or a PCI 5200 Plus 128MB (250/500 core/mem speed... faster than a regular 5200, on sale at officemax this week for $59.99 after rebate).

nothings gona look better in D2 than 3dfx Glide. A nice V3 would do nicely and you can get one cheap too. It will also do good in CS for the rest you might want something better!
