Well I found out my PC3200 Kingston HyperX memory tops out at 200-205mhz with 2.9v at CAS2 latency so I'm trying to find memory I can run at CAS2 with at least a 215mhz FSB. So far my options have come down to :

Mushkin DDR433 1GB(512x2 pack) with 2-3-3-x timings
OR
Corsair XMS DDR500(512x2 pack) with 3-4-4-8 timings

My question is can I run the Corsair XMS with 2-2-2-11 timings if I only clock it at 220mhz seeing as those timings are rated for a 250mhz FSB? If not I'll go with the Mushkin.
 
It's not your memory stick that's holding you back.

The NF7 series mobos need to have the L12 trick to free up some more FSB. If I could do it all over again, I would have bought the DFI LanParty Ultra II because they can reach 240+ FSBs. The highest I got stable on the NF7-S was 227 at that's it. It didn't matter what voltage or what timings.. it would not boot above that FSB.
 
I don't think I'm going to mess with the pins on my CPU. I really do think it is my memory thats the problem, nn my ASUS A7N8X Deluxe I remember my memory didn't pass memtest for more than 10 mins at 205mhz with 2-2-2-11 timings and 2.9v.
 
Well, i've had both Mushkin and Corsair memory. Both very solid, if I had to choose I would probably go with the gig of Mushkin. :D
 
Hmm it seems that the mushkin memory only does 2-3-3-x at 215mhz FSB.

If I were to get the DDR500 Corsair XMS would i be able to run 2-2-2-11 at a 215-220mhz FSB?
 
Above all else research what IC's your RAM is using before you go out and buy a stick. xtremesystems.org has some good info for that.

Hell I managed to get PC2700 Kingston ValueRam that had Hynix D43 IC's, that I have had stable at 245 mhz 2.5-3-3-7
