Best NUC under $200

The revised DN2820FYKH (Celeron) seems to be the newest of the NUCs under $200, and I think the first to actually include a wireless card (but only 1 RAM slot). It also gives you the option to use 2.5" mechanical or hybrid drives.
For $70 more, the D34010WYK seems to be well-reviewed and gives you i3 and better integrated graphics (2 RAM slots, no wireless included, SSD-only).
Dunno. Between those and some of the older NUC models, it's rather confusing. I think I'm going to try and hold out for NUC 2.0 coming in Q1'15 and get a Rock Canyon with Broadwell i5 and Iris Pro graphics..

I personally choose the Core i3-4010U NUC, installed an mSATA SSD and 8GB DDR3L RAM, it now functions as a virtual host (ESXi 5.5 on USB) where I have a Linux server installed on for the moment. It works very well for it's purpose.
For a friend I also installed a Gigabyte BRIX based on the Celeron N2820, with 4GB and OpenELEC on a USB stick, running as a powerful HTPC capable of about everything I threw at it.
It all depends on the use-case, as most of the limitation is the CPU (and iGPU) power, which you can't upgrade. Installing a good SSD allows the storage to not be a limiting factor and with 8-16GB of RAM, you aren't limited on memory either. Also, very important, many NUC's have mini-video-ports. So you either need adapters or the right cables.

I was looking at http://www.zotac.com/products/mini-pcs/zbox-c-series/product/zbox-c-series/detail/zbox-ci320-nano-4.html this one, if I can ever find in stock anywhere. It looks just right for me.

They have the one with Windows preinstalled and only 2gb of memory. I want to buy the barebones kit for ~$130 and install 4gb of memory. I have a spare 2.5 drive lying around and I can pick up a cheap Windows 8.1 key and viola! Mini HTPC for ~$180.
The barebones kit seems oos everywhere though.

Not trying to burst your bubble, but rock canyon will not have iris pro, and maple canyon will not either.

I'm just going off of what several other places are reporting..
The leaked Intel slides only specify that Wilson Canyon will have HD5000/4400 and that Rock Canyon will have "Next-gen Graphics".
If they do not update the chassis to include more heatsink space above or to the side of it it will not have iris-pro due to heat alone. Having used a brix-pro with a 4770R as well as an iris-pro clevo ultrabook with a 4950HQ, both of these have iris-pro graphics on them and both run extremely hot.
I suspect that rock canyon will have Iris, and Maple canyon will have iris as well it just won't be the 128MB eDRAM version.
I don't have a source on this, just what I suspect to be the case unfortunately given the size of the chassis and the general shrink they have done from generation to generation.
