Best NAS option for backup drive

I am in need of 2 NAS drives to cycle out off site for backups. We have a dedicated backup server running 2008 R2 that runs ShadowProtect to a box with Open Filer and stores to local drives in that server (we're just backing up a DC/file server and an Exchange server - those boxes run on blades and have virtual drives in our SAN). Once copied, it robocopies every night to a NAS that we have on the other side of the manufacturing floor.

As it is now, the office could burn down and the NAS would be safe, but that's not a true DR plan.

I would like to replace our existing NAS with a drive that has gigabit Ethernet and get two that can be cycled out twice a week.

Thoughts on this? If this is a decent idea, what drives do you recommend? Unfortunately I think we have too much data for true off site backups to be economically viable. About 1.5TB right now. Even at $.125/GB on Amazon S3 (not including downloads/uploads), that's a bit to stomach. If that's the best option, I'm sure we can swing it though.

How much data do you accumulate during a week?
Doing incremental backups (rsync or whatever) might be enough if you can load a nas/backup machine with recent snapshot.
