Best MP3 Player?

I bought a Creative Nomad MuVo NX 256MB player and I have only had it for 3 1/2 months and its dying! I’m getting memory corruption errors. I have a Nomad II MG which lasted considerably longer (over 2 years). Now I’m in the market again for a flash memory based player.

Any thoughts on the IRiver iFP-390T or iFP-190T? I want it for my daily workouts.
 
I looked at the neuros and might get it.
Anyone have one? zachary80?
or heard about it, good/bad?
 
Well, I guess I'll update this now that the forums are finally up. I ended up getting my I iriver last month and I have to say it's FANTASTIC. The sound quality it just great; with 192k+ mp3s and good headphones, it's just as good as any cd player. And the battery life is just amazing. Just got back from a 2 week stay in europe, and the thing lasted me the car trip to the airport, most of the (7 hour) flight there, a few random times in the hotel, and half the plane trip back! Sound quality on it is great, the remote is godly since I can just put the iriver on my belt and not have to worry about fumbling with it or dropping it/having it stolen while walking around. I haven't used the recording much so far, but from some testing I did it's top notch. I was able to get very clear sound from just the internal mic, which is said to be horrible by iriver people i've talked to compared to more high end external mics I can attach to it. I'll probably do more testing next fall for lectures in class and such. I guess the only thing that might be considered a downside is the navigation. This is no iPod, but it's still very easy to navigate. It has a database function which will sort everything by album/artist etc, but I heard that it greatly increases the boot time of the machine (to like a minute or something), so i've just been using filetree navigation. I've really seen no problem to it, but I know some people might have qualms about a more "awkward" organization. In the end though, I think this is the best choice I could have made. If you're looking for a good sound quality player wich will have a long life and is near the iPod price range, seriously consider the iriver. There's also color screen versions (if you want something like that) coming out this summer (H320, H340), but I don't think it's really worth it for just a color screen, no movie playback or anything. However, this should cause a sharp increase in teh H100 series, so they should be at awesome prices in the next couple months.
 
Im glad it worked out for you. I use the db function and it starts up quick, I'm not sure if maybe it was the earlier firmware that took a while with the db feature.

The navigation is a bit different from the iPod but since I organize everything in it in folders by album it works well for me and the sound quality is really why I chose it over the iPod. If they have better Mac support I'd start recommending it more to my friends who use Macs exclusively, but I don't really know if the support for Apple has improved with the iHP (now H series).
