Best mouse pad?

Hey guys, I'm kinda in the market for a good and cheap mouse pad, any suggestions? I'm currently using a cheap wowpad I picked up at office depot, but the plastic wears down and becomes smooth creating friction on my mouse. I think it's time for an upgrade to something durable.
Also, what's the ruling on teflon mouse pad stickers? Do they help that much in making the mouse run smoothly? And how do they hold up to a fair amount of gaming?

Hahah a nice mouse pad. I'll look into it, thanks for the suggestion.

Another thing I really like, is I want the mouse pad as thin as possible...

IceMat with Teflon feet. Sex for your gaming hand

Anyone know where to get the IceMat 1 for a good price? I don't want the larger 2 because of the desk space I have to work with. (I'm using a keyboard tray) and what recomendations do you guys have on Teflon feet? I've found various people with them and suggestions, but what really works and lasts for at least 3 months?

Actually, does anyone know where I can get any version of it?

I agree. The original Func design is your best bet. On top of being double-sided (basically two mousepads in one) you can also even out wear by being able to rotate the mousepad (since it is a rectangle).

Mine usually last 2-3 years before I need to replace them. Been using one for about 8 years now and I'm on my 3rd pad.

Been using it for about 2yrs, it does make a difference & still is like-new, absolutely no wear whatsoever.

I would go with the funcpad over the icemat because the icemat is cold as ice lol, but really it's a matter of preference.

I'm a cloth user now though and it's great not having to mess with skates or anything.

That does make a lot of sense... there are pros and cons to both sides of the coin.

hmm, I've tried a few.

Steelseries qck (thin, 12" x 10") ~ my latest pad, and the cheapest at $10, absolutely love it, it has a nice slick feel while still giving my mouse enough grip so it doesn't slide around when there's vibration in the room

Razer eXactmat ~ it was okay, found the textured side to be much better than the slick side. It really had a fatal flaw in that each side had 4 rubber feet, one in each corner, but it was such that if you applied pressure to the center of the pad it would 'bow' somewhat, it didn't really hurt anything, but it was annoying

fUnc 1030 ~ loved this pad, it just got bead up over the years :-P couldn't find one in stock so I got the Razer pad next.

order was: generic cloth -> fUnc -> Razer -> Steelseries

If I were to need a new pad today, it would be the Steelseries qck, it's cheap and it feels fantastic. I always liked the generic cloth pads and the qck is that with a little extra work, think rib eye vs. chuck steak :-P

I used to buy qck's too but didn't like the fact that they wear out after a few months.. I saw a bunch of cs players raving about the puretrak pads and decided to try one and haven't looked back. Been using one for a while now and it hasn't shown any sign of wear. It also feels very similar to the qck so I'd recommend it if you like cloth.

i use both a Steelseries SX and QCK Heavy... the SX feels amazing and durable.... but it'll wear down your mouse feet in a matter of weeks with heavy gaming....

QCK Heavy feels nice but i can just tell that ill probably only get a year out of it if it was my full-time pad...

i use an Ikari Laser....

i also have a 7G keyboard so i guess that makes me a steelseries fanboi

though of course im open to anything that is decisively better than what i have :)

Slap some teflon feet on your mouse and just use your desk/table top. I retired my Icemat 2 after trying it.

Most desks make crappy mouse pads. My desk is glass and won't track at all so this has to be the worst idea.
