Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.

Subject: Re: REroduct:Mouse Feedback

Thank you for contacting me back regarding this issue.
A lot of people who have been experiencing this issue have told me that this problem is an inherent flaw in the design of the scroll wheel on the new mouse. I'd like to think otherwise, so the onus is on you to prove me wrong.
"You would like an update released which would either allow you to set a customizable option on moving the mousewheel or would allow you to determine how much of the mousewheel has to be moved to consider it as a scroll. "
That would pretty much help to alleviate the problem. I would strongly advise you to notify your superiors, have them tell the engineers to code this option into the Intellipoint software, so that we (gamers, not exclusively) can use the mouse as well as we know we could.
As I had reiterated previously, I have been using Microsoft mice all my computer career. This is the first year that I have actually switched to a Logitech mouse, namely, a MX500. I would like to switch back to a Microsoft mouse, because the MX500 does not serve me well.
Make it happen.
Thank you.
James

Hello James,
Thank you for contacting Microsoft Customer Service.
My name is Pritam and I am a Customer Service Representative.
I would like to thank you for sharing your concerns with us. I regret to hear that after upgrading to Intellimouse Explorer 4.0 from Intellimouse Explorer 3.0a you are encountering difficulty with configuring the mouse in FPS games like Unreal Tournament 2004.
You would like an update released which would either allow you to set a customizable option on moving the mousewheel or would allow you to determine how much of the mousewheel has to be moved to consider it as a scroll.

I am a long time user of Microsoft mice, the best being the Intellimouse 3.0a Explorer mouse. I am a gamer, and I also do a lot of photo editing, digital audio analyst, etc. Having a good mouse is crucial to my work, and this mouse served the purpose. However, it was time for an upgrade.
I bought the Intellimouse Explorer 4.0. It is a perfect mouse for my hand. It is comfortable and light.
However, there is a major flaw with the mouse that I am sure is correctable with a driver update.
I use this mouse to mainly play games. Some games include FPS games such as Unreal Tournament 2004, FarCry, etc. I'll use UT2004 as an example.
When using the IE 3.0a, the older mouse, the scroll wheel had "ratchets" or "clicks" when you moved the scroll wheel. Each ratchet would correspond with a movement up or down. The new mouse does not have ratchets. It is totally smooth. This is not the problem.
The problem is this: I usually have the mouse binded in UT2004 so that "Next Weapon" is Mousewheel UP and "Previous Weapon" is Mousewheel DOWN. Using the IE 3.0a, moving the mousewheel up one "ratchet" registered for moving to the next weapon. But using the IE 4.0, moving the mousewheel up has no ratchet, and instead of the next weapon being selected, it flies through the whole selection of weapons that I have available, never being able to select the one I need, unless I move the mousewheel EVER SO SLIGHTLY. Bottom line, the scroll wheel is TOO FAST.
The fix for this issue is to release in an Intellipoint update, the ability to control the scrollwheel in such a way:
1) Give me a customizable option where if I move the mousewheel half of the way, or any way I set it, it would register as "1 ratchet or click".
2) Mousewheel sensitivity. This option is in a FEW select games, this will help determine how much of the mousewheel is moved in order to consider it a scroll.
I believe Option 2 is the best choice. I already tried the options available to me in the Intellipoint software, and it is of no avail. Disabling the options or testing with different settings are moot; the MOUSEWHEEL IS TOO SENSITIVE.
If games have the ability to control mousewheel sensitivity, I am damn sure Microsoft has the capability of adding it to the Intellipoint software.
I ask you to release this patch for me with 2 week time frame, or I'm afraid I will have to return this mouse to my vendor. There are many gamers who have been buying this mouse and returning it just for this issue. Just look on www.hardforums.com and a few others. I have been with the competition (Logitech), and frankly, I like Microsoft's design and software better. Just fix this issue so that I can have the perfect mouse.
How are wireless mouses these days? I'm a gamer and looking to replace my IE3 (After 5 long years it died) with the IE4 and wondering if i should go wired or wireless.
Also dosen't MS have a lifelong warrenty on these things? I wasn't able to find anyone to contact regarding my dead IE3
