Best Mouse for everything including gaming?

Hehe, sorry guys but I am going to stray from the bandwagon for a moment... I absolutely hated my MX700...

About a month ago I bought the MX700 Duo, and I have experienced these issues:

Mouse
- I have noticed an extreme amount of Mouse Lag. I have tried moving the receiver, as well as changing the channels, and on my desktop it was ghosty, everywhere else it was damn near impossible to be accurate with, and a majority of the games we play these days involve a good portion of accuracy. Hell, I was completely able to just move to an icon, no matter what the mouse would glide past the icon I wanted. It had a slow response, and it's like a huge ship going fast and wanting to come to a full stop... doesn't happen, my mouse would not stop where I wanted it to.
- Configuration of it was a pain. See, in order to even try to come close of the accuracy of my current mouse, I have to like pinpoint the motion for both ingame and drivers... which proved to be a very difficult task.
- As stated, I tried moving my receiver to another location, but there aren't many places that I can move it, until it begins to have interferance with my monitor... not all of us have the luxary of moving it to the complete other side of my desk.

I prefer my Microsoft Explorer 3.0 Optical. The wire never gets in the way for me. It has 5 buttons, is a comfortable mouse to use, and boy is it precise... Never do I experience any kind of mouse lag as I did previously with the MX700.

I don't understand it... My friend has one at his house, and he says he can't live without it... I've used his, and it pretty much had the same effect. I was completely unable to play any games that required aiming, as the mouse would stray past the target 99% of the time. It's movement was erratic, it's speed was annoying, even the slightest movement shot you a good distance past where you wanted to aim, even after dropping the sensitivity down... just way too sensitive.

My Recommendation
Again...
Microsoft Intellimouse Explorer 3.0 Optical

Mine don't die unless I kill them, and those things are quite durable, even for my anger issues in games. ;)
