That monitor is not compatible with any Pixar movies.

With that budget, why not get a sony 4k tv. They have one model on sale at BestBuy which is around 1.6k.

For that budget you could go dual panel and pick up a pair of samsung plasmas from costco.

Samsung UN55H8000 for $1.5k on Amazon. Absolutely worth it. If you can find the Samsung F8500 Plasma that will be the closest thing you can get to perfection for $1.5k.

Outside of those I would wait until next Holiday season when OLED's will be half their current price at the very least.
