Best middle end card

id personally get a 580, i put a 560 ti in my bros rig, and he loves it, works great, but since the 580 price dropped might as well go that way.

7850 is pretty good if power and temps are your concerns. Will Crossfire nicely for 7970+ performance.

I got my 2 6950s 2GB reference cards seen in my sig on sale at the FS/FT forum. As seen in my sig, They are unlocked to all 6970 shaders and overclock like it's nobody's business. Great cards. PM me if interested.

What is the best video card I can get for 250-300?

If value and performance are priority to you there are a number of GTX 560ti 448 for under $250 right now. MSI TFIII PE/OC GTX560ti 448 for $229 after MIR is a great deal right now at Amazon.com.

It really is alot of video card for the money. If you need more vRAM EVGA makes a very nice GTX570 that has 2.5GB of memory. That card looks like a good card if you need alot of memory. It's right at the top of your scale for the price.

GTX580 prices are not as high as they used to be and good deal can be found on them.
