I'm looking to make a gaming computer that will not make my wallet cry.
Here are the Specs I'm looking at:

-Corsair 750TX :http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817139006
- ASUS P5K-E :http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813131225
-E8400 Wolfdale :http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819115037
-800GTS :http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814127325
- Kingston HyperX :http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820134218

Is this the best economical solution for a mid/line gaming rig?

If there is a better solution, please let me know.

Thanks

Get that Corsair PSU here instead, for $99 - $10MIR: http://www.provantage.com/corsair-cmpsu-750tx~7CSMC05E.htm

What features do you need in a motherboard? If you don't need that extra PCI-E 4.16x slot, RAID, nor firewire, you can save a bunch by goin with the MSI P35 Neo2-FR instead of the P5K-E.
$110 - MSI P35 Neo2-FR LGA 775 Intel P35

If you want to save more money on the CPU, you could drop down to an E4500 or E2160 instead. They can both OC to around 3.3Ghz. However, the E8400 can reach around 4Ghz with the correct RAM (DDR2-1000+).

Don't pay more than $45 for 2GB of RAM. That Kingston stuff is way overpriced. If you want highly overclockable sticks, go with Crucial Ballistix DDR2-800 2x1GB instead. If you want 4GB, there's some A-Data RAM that OC's nicely, 2x2GB DDR2-800 kit, for $63 after coupon from the egg.
$55 - Crucial Ballistix 2GB (2x1GB) DDR2-800 BL2KIT12864AA804 ($30 MIR)
$63 - A-DATA 4GB (2x2GB) DDR2-800 ADQVE1B16K (Promo: EMCAFAJAG)

Oh, and pickup an aftermarket HSF, too... so you can push that CPU to its full potential.
$35 - Scythe SCNJ-1100P Ninja Plus Rev.B CPU HSF (optional $5 Thermalright LGA775 Bolt-Thru-Kit)
$37 - XIGMATEK HDT-S1283 120mm Rifle CPU Cooler
$46 - Thermalright Ultima 90 CPU HS + FBA09A12M - Z ($3)
$50 - ZEROtherm Nirvana NV120 120mm CPU Cooler ($10 MIR)
$59 - Noctua NH-U12P Universal heatsink
$57 - Thermalright Ultra 120 eXtreme CPU HS + Scythe S-Flex Fan SFF21E ($15)
