I've finally decided to get back around to completing my set top MAME computer, now that ive deprived myself of my GC and XBOX, and need something to take care of my spare time ;)

im looking for a good set top microatx case that looks good in a HT setting. ive been checking out some cases at directron and they have some good ones, but i wanted to hear from some people that have done a similar project. front USB would be helpful, as im using homemade joysticks.

any tips? thanks.

I was looking at something such as this here or even something like this

well just a suggestion, you have an xbox? get a mod chip, throw in a 80 gig harddrive, get MAME on it, go to town. thats what my friend did and it rocked, he had the hard drive lying around, mod chip was around 50 i believe.

if youre set on making a computer, i would just make the case. find an old vcr at a yard sale for $5, strip out the insides, mod it so the computer goes in nicely.

I'm using the Athenatech A100BB as my HTPC case and love it. Excellent build, room for two hard drives, stealth drive covers, good PSU included.

i used to have an xbox but sold it last month. i did use it for MAME tho. its true, i could just get another one, but i just cant see getting another one after selling the last one. i want to be able to use my homemade controllers too. i dont think i could do that on an xbox.

ill check out some of those suggestions guys, thanks. keep em coming.

here's what i did, i didn't use a microatx i used a full tower so i can access it through the bottom drive door. this probably doesn't help u but its a mame machine.

Wow! You could have a hot chick at the arcade machine, one on the treadmill and a good lesbo porno on the big screen! :p

Don't mind me.... I've always wanted to make something like that. (Not the lesbo porno -- the arcade machine with the PC in it.)
