This holiday season my parents and I are looking to pick up two new HDTV's. Right now we're trying to budget the cost down below $1,300 a pop, lower than that perferably. Ne ideas on the best buy's in that price range and size? We've been looking mainly at the Samsungs b600 series.

Thats what we plan on doing, but i was wondering at which models i should be watching (price wise).

Ne1 have experience with the LG LH90 models? I see they are locally dimmed LED, and CNET gave it 4 stars (same as XBR8/A950). And thanks RadXge but i already frequent CNET like a madman and AVS forum..

Also of course, check out the Panasonic plasmas. (Especially if any of your parents' furniture is arranged such that the TV viewer will be looking at the TV from off angle...)

We've ruled out the V10, G10, S10, hell we just decided on a LCD no burn in time and no image retention. For the money the LG LH90 or the XRB7 seem to be best buys in our price range.

I recommend the Samsung LN46A650 46-Inch 1080p 120 Hz LCD HDTV with Red Touch of Color.
The Tv itself is beautiful. The hint of red is very subdued yet adds a nice touch when you get up close. You can have a look at the 945 customer reviews there.

LH90 is certainly a standout with its local dimming and relatively low price...
