I'm looking into getting an lcd as my 19" CRT is taking up a lot of space on my desk and it produces a good bit of heat too. I'm looking for an lcd that's at least 18" and Im wanting something under $500. I don't know too much about lcd's however besides that lower responce time = better! I don't game that much but still want something lower than 20ms. I can go a little higher than $500 however and was looking at this one.

"Why Walmart?!" you ask? Well, I work for walmart and get a discount which on such a large purchase would help a lot. I'd get about $60 off of that lcd. I'd like a 1600x1200 lcd, are there any avaliable anywhere else at 19" for about the same price? C'mon folks, help me out here!

I'm also thinking, maybe I could try that uber popular Dell lcd that everybody is talking about and pay it off monthly? I've never used Dell's monthly payment plan before so I don't know how it works.

The 712N only has the analog connection (no digital). I saw it on display at BestBuy and it sucked compared to NEC 1765 (which also has analog connection only). NEC 1765 was WAY better in terms of quality. Originaly I wanted to get the Samsung 710T, but when I saw the NEC 1765 in action (too bad I couldn't compare it to 710T) it blew me away, so now I can't decide whether I should get the NEC1765 or the Samsung 710T (the digital connection on this one might make a huge difference). But the 712N definitely looked like crap compared to NEC 1765.

According to the site it's 17"

well, i got a ruler and measured it. its closer to 18 than 17, but yes, they advertise it as a 17.

her's the pic, the top of the lcd came out a bit wierd though, teh flash made the smudges show on top...eitherway..
