OK heres my problem. im going off to school this year and my big 6 year old CRT isnt going to cut it on my desk anymore. So... My mom said said shed get me an lcd so that i can use my computer while im there.(its a co-ed boarding school) Anyway, she said she'd get me a 17 inch, but probably not higher because she knows they cost too much. But i can always pay like 50$-100$ of my own and i can get a 19 " probably. So basically, what would be the best monitor i could get for a decent price? Oh yeah I would like to use this for gaming, so it should be good in that area as well. Thanks.
 
The Hyundai L90D+ is probably what you need. Its the best 19" gaming monitor for the price.

There are cheaper 19" monitors (Samsung 915N, also found on newegg), but I havn't found anything to indicate that they would be acceptable (or unacceptable) for gaming.

(BTW, LCD's *definately* help at school.. you only have so much desk space)
