I need a good laptop surge protector that doesn't cost alot that i can use when i'm away from my computer desk where my UPS is at. I've bought a Dell Inspiron XPS 2 and i was just looking at these from APC.

Should i get one of those APC models or another brand? What APC model should i get? Is the PNOTEPROC6 model better then the PNOTEPROC8 because its 600 joules while the other is only 180.
