What is best input for Audioengine A2+ ?

USB or RCA or mini jack ?

i thinked that RCA was obvius, but i read some feedback where some users told USB better and more bass.

RCA is analog, so audio quality will depend on your DAC (onboard audio, sound card, dedicated external DAC, or stereo receiver).

USB is digital and relies on the A2's built-in DAC, which may or may not be better than what you already have.

well if you have them the solution seems obvious (not trying to be a jerk btw ) try them and see what sounds best to you...

on paper the Realtek almost certainly has better specs... as the A2+'s USB dac is only 16bit / 48Khz... but sound is in the ear of the listener so give it a shot w/ usb and from the sound card with either a 3.5 to 3.5 or 3.5mm to RCA cable..

use whichever one sounds better to you.

USB means using the a2+ internal DAC, which shouldn't be too bad, but not likely all that great either. If you have a good soundcard or other DAC it could be better, but will mean using RCA or mini jack.

Electrically, RCA and mini jack are the same. Good RCA cables are usually better than mini jack cables, but unless you are having some problems (such as cables picking up hum) you likely won't hear a difference.

but you probably won't be able to hear the difference without proper acoustic treatment so just go with USB for the sake of convenience.
