hey all.. i just got an ipod and am experiencing the joys of going through 4000 Mp3s and trying to organize which mp3 is in which album by which artitst...

here's the catch...

i dump my mp3s into itunes, and "organize" their ID3 tags there... but itunes only does it "for itunes" (it doesn't actually update the MP3s ID3 tags)...

i'm looking for a clean (preferrably free) app that i can edit all my songs in, BEFORE i bring them into itunes... so that when i do breing them in, they'll all fall in order and be all ready ready already.

Have you messed around with ephPod yet?

It can replace iTunes for you file transfer and tagging needs
