Best HSF for the $$$???

get a Zalman CNPS7700 i got it, and its AWESOME :)

ive read reviews that had the AMD 4 pipe one spank the shit outta some of the nest heatsinks on teh market

The Freezer 64 Pro is a beast, especially for $15. My a64 3700 san diego is 35/45 idle/load with mine (according to mobo) at 2.6ghz.

For the price the Freezer 64pro can't be beaten...there are better performers out there but there are also many that perform worse yet cost more.

So the Freezer 64pro will get me the best bang for the buck out of all HSF"s or just the 2 I listed?

Oh hell yeah, but if you do get it DO NOT remove the pre-applied thermal paste or add AS5 along with it like so many clueless people tend to do. :p The stuff that comes on it has been proven to be just as good as AS5.

well seeing how your thread states "the best for the $$$?", and you give the cheapest coolers made for suggestions. Whats heavy for you?.. i feel my thermalright XP120 isnt too heavy but has given me the best performance i have ever seen from a cooler, very impressed.

my 2¢

Scythe Ninja plus - Best choice i ever made, youll need strong fingers to mount it but its worth it.

I agree, that'd be a great option. However, the price on that Freezer is great. If you're strapped for cash, go for it. If you can afford a bit more (~$36), then the Ninja will perform better with less noise.

Isn't the infinity better than the ninja though? It might be more expensive, but it's one of the best hsf out there.

How loud is the thing? I have issue swith noise from my X700 pro as it is...

Quiet, most likely far quieter than your X700. Google for reviews, I think SPCR did one.
