Hey guys,
I'm going to my second year of college soon and in the middle of an overhaul. I just got a new computer and need some speakers and a headset. It's so sad to say goodbye to the four 20-lb speakers that my dad gave me (Klipsch ~30 years old) that I've been using (4 8" and 4 10" speakers). Anyways I have a few questions.
As for speakers, I'm looking at the Logitech z-5500s. I currently have a 12" sub (5 speaker setups without a sub are hard to come by). I hope to hook up the 12" sub to the 5 speakers over the 10" that they offered me, but I'm not sure how their wiring works (anyone shed some light?), we'll see, but I'm sure the 10" would do me fine. If anyone has a recommendation over this setup, let me know.
Also, I am looking for a headset <$100. Right now newegg has the Fatal1ty Gaming Headset MKII for $70 until August 10th, orig $100. However, there are so many headsets to choose from it is insane and I am tired of comparing reviews. I'm sure many of you would love to share your recommendations for a headset that has a good balance for Gaming and Music. Side note: What separates a gaming headset from a music headset? Sound is sound. I mean, bullets flying by my head while I am trying to fend off the Koreans while playing Crysis is music to my ears.
