Again oneof those people still clinging to the CRT....but I think mine's time is near. So looking to make the jump to an LCD. Anyone have any input? Looking for a 19-20"....best response time....highest contrast ratio....the usual. Any ideas?

If you like CRTs you might as well blow $400-600 on a fancy 21-22" model. I own and game on a Dell 2001FP 20" LCD and have no issues with ghosting but I personally think games look better on CRTs. The reason I bought the 2001FP was for lanparties because hauling around a 21" CRT was very annoying.

stick with CRT's for gaming. I have an L90D+ and I think I may sell it during the summer and get a nice CRT. Or keep the L90D+ in a dually setup and for LAN parties.

The Hyundai L90D+ is certainly a popular choice in the 19" market. You won't get much faster than the 8ms Samsung panel they've used at the moment. Take a look THG review (Feb 2005) for some info. They rate it highly and from their tests they show it is faster than the 12ms models which preceeded it. BeHardware also did a review of it (Dec 2004) which might help.

The Samsung 913N uses the same panel aswell and is quite popular. There are of course the Dell models which are very popular in these forums, thanks to their nice pricing. Purely for gaming (and to save a bit of money) i think perhaps the Hyundai / Samsung might be a good bet. Having said that, some of the 12ms rated models are also very good, including the lovely LG1980U and Viewsonic VX912.

yeah the L90D+ uses the Samsung 8ms (LTM190EX-L01) panel. They have used Samsung panels in their 17" models before too, inc in the Q17+ and L70S+ :)

then samsung monitor also suck at movies as well? shit.........lol (I am about to get a samsung)

I use a Dell2005fpw--awesome.

I've also used for a short time a Hyundai L90D+, but I kept having problems, dead pixels, dvi problems, so I eventually sold a replacement. Just bad luck with that one I guess.

the 930B does not suck at movies. No twinkling problems here that other L90D+ users had.

check out the sony hs95p, it's a bit on the high end but does games really well and has great colour!
