Be it Beta or Official, which give the best performance in Doom 3? Sorry if this has been posted before.
 
66.00 gave me a 10% boost in Doom3...those are probably your best bet...
 
i havent noticed any difference between them in D3 and ive used loads inc 6562 and 6600,

might be CPU limited... I hit my CPU limit (2.4 ghz w/HT) at 56 fps around.

(at least I think it's my CPU's limit seeing that I get 56 fps at High/Med/Low quality settings...)

I see big gains when I turn on 8xAA though with the new drivers... but 66.00 give me weird issues in doom...
 
na, im gettin 51 fps in timedemo at 1280*1024, high quality, everything maxed out except AA.

only a standard 6800.

No. What he means is by turning 8xAA on he further decreases any CPU limitation and can better see the fps improvement from the new drivers.

You hit it right on the head in a roundabout sorta way. You won't really notice any performence increase going from 65.62 to 66.00 if you DON'T use AA. Once you turn on 4xAA you should notice a 10% [or so] increase in performence.

I'm unofficially dubbing the 66.00s the AA drivers. :D

I went from 51fps at 1600x1200 HQ to 57fps at the same settings. Not to mention Flight Simulator 2004 would not work with anything between 61.77 and 65.62. (This was on my old rig, my sig is the new rig not put together yet...) I am hoping the A64 is going to rock my old overclocked Mobile...

The 66.00's work awesome for me, best Doom3 speeds yet and other games work great too, including FS2004.
